On September 16th, we were devastated to lose our husband, father, son, brother, and friend. The comments of so many who knew Michael have been our strength in these last few days. Please comment here with memories and stories of Michael. They will be passed on to his family.

ReplyDeleteIt has been a long time. We were in a Sunday school class together when Hillside was still PTCC. I remember Michael always had a welcoming smile and a kind word. I am so sorry for your loss and all of you will be in our prayers as you walk through the days of grieving and healing.

I have known the Hodges for over 10 years & was a good friend in the earlier years. We've all had our ups & downs & grown a lot.. As I was down for a good while, they have always welcomed me with a warm and kind smile...no matter what. That means a lot. I can't express how sorry I am for your loss. I can say that I can see how Jesus works through each of you. We live in a world where it's much easier to do what feels good or to take the easy way out. Becoming more like Jesus involves sacrificial love, it takes a servants heart, it means forgiving when it's not easy to forgive, and it takes a concerted effort toward humility & self-forgetfulness. Dana, Michael & Dane I see these qualities in each of you & I think the world of you & I'm so sorry for your pain. As sad & tragic as this is I know you find peace in knowing Michael is safe in heaven forever...he is not sad, he's kicking it with the angels where there is no pain, sorrow, sickness or tears. <3
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful guy he was and he will be deeply missed but we shall all gather together someday again in the heavens. He was kind, giving and always had a smile on his face and is smiling down on all his friends this very moment knowing he was so cared for by many. He has a loving and beautiful family and we shall all stay close by there side. May God be with you Michael and your family.
